Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Meloni discovered his passion for acting from his days in college and studied acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV, it is the character actors on smaller screens that have given him popularity. He's been able easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' attention. In the first television show in which he played the role of a murderer. He then went on to play the part of an NYPD Detective. In recognition of his performance on the small screen, he's been nominated many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards.
